Meet Allen Li

Allen is a talented 18 year old with autism who enjoys drawing, playing guitar, making cookies and dancing. Allen participates in art therapy, and the Blue Hat baking program at the Center for All Abilities in New York City.

"People like to see me dance!"

What's your favorite part about art?
"I can make jokes by creating art."

What do you love about Center for All Abilities?
"I love CAA because I do arts and cookies there. And talk to people there."

Allen's Work

An entertainer at heart, Allen Li loves inspiring smiles and laughter with witty phrases and jokes while creating his art. A mix of spontaneous brush strokes and whimsical thinking produce masterpieces that mirror his lively and joyous charisma.

World of Whimsy

Allen enjoys painting while surrounded by friends so that he can make others smile and laugh while creating works of art.

An Artist Signature

Allen will sometimes incorporate his name or Chinese symbols into his paintings. Allen is fluent in Cantonese and English.

'Rainbow Smiles'

Rainbows are one of Allen's favorite things to paint!

'Graffiti Mania' Beginnings

This painting was the main inspiration behind the 'Graffiti Mania' print. Some elements of this work can also be found in the 'Happy Strokes' print.

Textures and Dots

Allen loves to experiment with everyday items used as 'paint brushes' - including sponges, bottle caps, straws, and sometimes his own fingers!
